Nature Walk: Ferns and Other Plants of the Larsen Sanctuary
Thursday, June 26, 2025
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Fairfield’s Larsen Wildlife Sanctuary is a treasure-trove of growth this time of year, and the perfect place to join botanist Jim Cortina on a guided walk to search for ferns and other plants along the trails. Weaving through fields, woodlands and marshes, the Sanctuary offers a diversity of habitats to explore. It’s a great opportunity to discover and learn about the characteristics of many varieties of local plant life, including ferns which can be challenging to identify. Bring binoculars if you have them – we never know what we may encounter during this active season.
Members $20; Non-members $25. Pre-registration required. Please register here.
This program is for adults. It meets at the Fairfield Nature Center, 2325 Burr St., Fairfield, CT.
